By the time Web Design Conference '09 takes place, Holiday 2008 will have happened. Fourth quarter buying and selling trends are always instructive with retailers gaining insight into what marketing and merchandising tactics consumers respond to and what kinds of merchandise moves. 2008's holiday promises to be even more instructive than usual as retailers assess the impact of online shopping in a difficult economic environment and look for lessons they can apply to 2009. This session will analyze the holiday season hits and misses of online merchandising and provide details as to how retailers should address such issues in 2009.
