There are certain design standards that all sites should employ and that consumers expect, but a retailer should not be rigidly bound by those standards. This session will examine how a merchant's target market defines a web site design, how to create a design that will meet the needs of a particular market without falling too far outside the bounds of standard retail site design and how to know what your audience expects. Speakers in this session will explain who their customers are and how they found that out; the features and functionality most important to their customers; how they served those features to customers in their site design and what they left out, given their particular audiences.
