What engages shoppers now—and what will engage them tomorrow

A recent study showed that engaging shoppers with non-sales information is one of four keys to a successful site. A broad variety of content invites consumers to visit Karmaloop.com regularly to learn about fashion, music, and trends—facilitating brand attachments and associations that go beyond the core product. This session will examine the importance of such information, look at how Karmaloop executes this strategy, what it takes to accomplish, the benefits the retailer derives from it, how it measures return on investment and how it makes sure that content doesn't interfere with buying. It will also examine how consumers' content needs will evolve and what retailers will need to do to keep up with the changes.
