Leveraging social technologies strategically in your site design
Dayna Bateman, Senior Strategic Analyst, Fry Inc.
Albert DiPadova, Vice President, Due Maternity
Retailers are well aware of the social aspects of the Internet and what they can do in terms of engaging customers. But the technology underlying social community at retailers' web sites is as important as the social engagement that customers experience—and is little understood by retailers. This session will explore how retailers can design and implement the architecture of their web sites to achieve ends that extend social communities' reach beyond immediate sales. This session features an e-commerce design and technology expert who will speak to the promise that the architecture of social technologies holds for e-commerce—from how blog architectures can be used strategically to impact search engine rank and to how community and collaboration are revolutionizing how online retailers merchandise, and a retailer who will talk about a successful implementation of social technology. |
