We are pleased to hold our third annual Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition in the city that is at the world's
leading information technology center-San Jose, California. Once a sleepy agricultural community, San Jose rocketed to
international prominence shortly after the invention of the silicon IC chip at Fairchild Semiconductor in nearby Palo Alto
in 1961. That converted the region just south of San Francisco into the famed Silicon Valley, with San Jose as its undisputed
capital. When Apple invented the personal computer next door in Cupertino, San Jose became a major personal computer hub
as well, and then a major Internet and e-commerce center with the formation of eBay, which is headquartered there. Today,
San Jose is home to 6,000 information technology enterprises employing 250,000 IT specialists, the largest concentration
of technology expertise on the planet. While it is America's 10th largest city and an economic powerhouse, it is consistently
rated among the safest and most livable of cities in the U.S., featuring many cultural attractions, such as its Center for
the Performing Arts, and tourist attractions, such as its popular Tech Museum of Innovation. The city is also a
pedestrian-friendly environment with many parks, great restaurants, and a climate that is remarkable even by California's
standards thanks to its plentiful sunshine (300 days of the year) and year-round moderate temperatures (June highs average
82 degrees and lows average 55).

This airport now handles nearly 200 flights a day and is increasingly preferred by Silicon Valley-bound travelers. However, if direct air service to San Jose is not available from your city, the San Francisco International Airport is just 35 miles north of San Jose along US Highway 101, a 40-minute trip by rental car, taxi or the IRCE 2007 shuttle bus, which will provide all attendees of IRCE 2007 with free hourly shuttle bus service (please see schedule) to and from San Francisco International Airport.

Internet Retailer 2007 Conference & Exhibition
will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, marking the first
time any e-retailing conference has staged its annual event in a major convention
center rather than a hotel. The reason: With total attendance approaching
5,000, IRCE 2007 has simply outgrown any hotel venue. Built in 1989, the
Convention Center offers a massive column-free hall, wireless connectivity,
and large and welcoming concourses. It has been the site of many other high-tech
shows, including E-Bay's annual users conference. Internet Retailer 2007
Conference & Exhibition will occupy all 388,000 square feet of this
high-tech exposition center, including 93,000 square feet of exhibition
space, a 50,000-square-foot General Session room (twice the size of last
year's), ample space for three large concurrent breakout sessions, and an
80,000-square-foot banquet hall, which will be used by IRCE 2007 for one
sit-down lunch and the banquet dinner event. The Convention Center is conveniently
located in downtown San Jose, a short walk to the city's main attractions,
shops, hotels and restaurants. It is directly connected to two of IRCE 2007's
conference hotels (Hilton and Marriott), in walking distance to five others
(Fairmont, Crowne Plaza, Sainte Claire, Hotel Montgomery, and Hotel De Anza) and right on San Jose's modern
light rail system, putting it just 10 minutes from the other two IRCE 2007
Conference hotels (Holiday Inn and Wyndham). The Convention Center's garage
also offers covered parking for 850 automobiles for attendees who are driving
to the show.

IRCE 2007 is pleased to offer its attendees a wide variety of accommodations at discounted conference rates at nine quality hotels-all within minutes of the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, the site of Internet Retailer 2007 Conference & Exhibition. Seven of these hotels are a short walk from the Convention Center and two are just 10 minutes away via either the San Jose Light Rail line or free IRCE 2007 Conference Shuttle Service. The IRCE 2007 Conference Hotels listed below (according to the size of their IRCE 2007 room block) offer a variety of discounted rates to meet your needs and budget; reservations at these reduced conference rates can be made online using the links that are provided with each hotel description.
