Turning Rich Media into Web Riches

Matthew Siegel, Vice President of E-tail Strategy, HSN-U.S.
Kim Biggerstaff, e-Marketing Manager, Delta Faucet Co.

Of all the changes that will have an impact on online shopping in the next 10 years, few will be as far-reaching as the broad acceptance of rich media. Retailers early experience with rich media has shown that consumers respond to more engaging visual content, whether it be video demonstrating the use of a product or zoom, pan and color swapping. As the spread of broadband continues, the use of rich media will explode. Retailers who don't keep up with the market in use of rich media will be left behind. Our first speaker, Matthew Siegel of HSN, will discuss how HSN's use of rich media—including dynamic content serving, integrated viewers, dynamic overlay and more—has led to significant improvement in conversion rates. Our second speaker, Kim Biggerstaff, e-marketing manager of fixtures manufacturer Delta Faucet, will talk about how rich media helps the company connect with consumers, showcases its products to great effect and results in sales.
