Mary Brett Whitfield, Senior Vice President, Retail Forward, Inc.
Mary Brett Whitfield is Director of the Retail Forward Intelligence System™ and has more than 11
years of consulting experience with retailers and consumer products companies and four years' experience at
retail companies in market research, strategic planning and sales development. Her consulting specialties
include industry and company analysis, competitive positioning and primary consumer research. Mary Brett
oversees the development of approximately 40 research publications a year on a diverse range of topics
related to the retail industry and writes research reports in the areas of consumer shopping behavior,
soft goods retailing, and e-retailing. Mary Brett joined the Management Horizons Division of Pricewaterhouse
in 1993 and most recently was a Director of PricewaterhouseCoopers and of the E-Retail Intelligence System®.
Prior to joining Pricewaterhouse, Mary Brett worked for Pearle Vision Inc. and Pier 1 Imports Inc. She
holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Smith College and an MBA from The University of Oklahoma.
