Online Retailers Finally Discover Loyalty Programs

Now that many retailers have the basics of online retailing nailed down, it's time to get to the refinements. One
of those is creating online loyalty marketing. Implementing a loyalty program online is different from implementing
one offline. For starters, e-retailers have many more opportunities than offline merchants to keep the loyalty
program and its benefits visible to shoppers while they browse the merchandise. And automated e-mail programs
allow online retailers to keep participants in loyalty programs informed up to the minute about their status
in the program. This session features an executive from RedEnvelope.com, which recently implemented a loyalty
program, as well as the CEO of RedEnvelope's loyalty services provider, Loyalty Lab. Gary Korotzer of RedEnvelope
will discuss why the retailer wanted a loyalty program, what it gets out of it and what it took to implement it.
Mark Goldstein of Loyalty Lab will outline how an e-retailer crafts a loyalty program that works.
