IDC Announces 30% Increase in First Half FY 2001 Worldwide Revenues
Company Projects High Revenue Growth and Hiring Additional Employees

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., April 19 -- IDC, the industry`s premier

in total worldwide revenues and a 50 percent increase in profits for its first
half ended March 31, 2001. In addition to exceeding its financial targets, the
company added more than 150 employees during the past year to expand its
research coverage and provide enhanced customer service. IDC is forecasting
continuing strong revenue and profit growth for the second half of its fiscal
year ending September 30. The company plans to add 75 additional employees
during the next six months in all major job categories including research,
sales, marketing, and information technology.
