SAN DIEGO - April 19, 2001 - V2Commerce Corp., a provider of form processing software that links Web site forms to desktops, said it has released its second product, Outrigger(TM). Outrigger replaces its former product, V2Commerce, which was completely Web-based. While V2Commerce conducted extensive research on product development, it found that most businesses, rather than take the immediate leap to a completely Web-based solution, wished to utilize existing business processes and software. Out of this concept, Outrigger was developed, allowing users to download data submitted on Web forms directly into existing Microsoft Office desktop applications via a secure hosted database. V2Commerce Corp., which has raised $5 million to date, is backed by Vanguard Atlantic, Ltd., McLean Watson Capital, and individual investors.
