BestBuy.com Selects Digitas to Develop Multi-Channel, Integrated Marketing Solutions

Digitas to Provide Strategic Direction and Execute Creative Campaigns

MINNEAPOLIS--April 24, 2001-- BestBuy.com, Inc. (BestBuy.com), the wholly owned Internet subsidiary of Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY), announced today the selection of Digitas Inc. (Nasdaq:DTAS), Adweek IQ`s Interactive Agency of the Year and Advertising Age`s highest rated interactive agency, as their online creative and offline direct marketing agency. Avenue A remains BestBuy.com`s digital marketing agency.

Digitas will work together with Best Buy Advertising and Avenue A to create customer-centric marketing communications across online and offline channels, including BestBuy.com and direct mail. Digitas will also lead efforts to expand the direct dialog between BestBuy.com and its customers to increase loyalty and drive sales. This campaign will fully integrate with the bricks and mortar brand campaign, which Best Buy Advertising will continue to develop and manage.
