EC OUTLOOK NAMES NEW CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

HOUSTON, April 25, 2001 — EC Outlook, a software provider that automates the collaborative commerce activities of Global 1000 companies and their trading partners, has named Tilak Mandadi as chief technology officer (CTO) and executive vice president of product development. In this position, Mandadi will help define the overall strategy for EC Outlook, support the alliances and partnerships efforts and lead the product development, engineering, and technical operations.

“EC Outlook has developed unique and compelling technology as well as services to accelerate collaborative commerce deployments,” said Mandadi. “The integration technology and application software markets are rapidly converging. The opportunity with EC Outlook will allow me to work closely with our customers to capitalize and profit from this trend.”

Mandadi brings significant business and technical experience to EC Outlook from his previous positions at global 500 companies, including Dell Computer and Enron. While at Dell Computer, he served as the head of technology for Dell Premier Online, the online sales and marketing channel for Dell’s corporate and government customers supporting both custom showrooms and demand chain B2B relationships. In this role, Mandadi directed the large and diverse team that was responsible for setting the strategy and managing online applications and operations. He also helped identify and execute partnerships and venture capital investments.

Prior to his role at Dell, Mandadi was the director of technology and a member of the founding team of Enron Online. With transactions exceeding $1 billion per day in market value, Enron Online today is one of the largest e-commerce sites in the world. Mandadi was also the chief systems architect and director of technology at Enron Capital and Trade’s trading systems organization. In this role, he was responsible for the development and integration of real time trading systems.

“Tilak’s extensive operating experience with the likes of Dell and Enron give him a keen appreciation for the integration and automation challenges faced by major corporations,” said Matt Verghese, President and COO of EC Outlook. “His expertise and his vision, as well as his in-depth understanding of the B2B issues confronted by major enterprises, will serve our customers extremely well as we continually innovate and improve our product line.”
