Kewill Systems and Sigma Micro partner on integrated shipping management
Kewill Systems Plc, a vendor of enterprise shipping management software, and Sigma Micro LLC, which provides enterprise software solutions for multi-channel retailers, have formed a strategic partnership under which the two will integrate Kewill’s Clippership software solution for smaller to mid-sized shippers with Sigma Micro’s SigmaCommerce 4.0 integrated software suite.
Sigma Micro is licensing the Kewill product to its multi-channel market, and the companies will continue to collaborate on sales and marketing. The new integrated solution allows Sigma Micro to offer customers a complete multi-carrier shipping solution that supports the management of shipping activities using carriers DHL, FedEx, USPS and UPS, with the goal of improving customer satisfaction and increasing profitability.
SigmaCommerce 4.0, the latest release of Sigma Micro’s flagship product, is a .Net application with a single relational Microsoft SQL database. Its technology allows retailers with a web store, print catalog and retail store front to use a fully integrated system rather than try to interface with multiple products and databases.
“Our customers want robust solutions from technology providers who know their industry and after a rigorous selection process we felt strongly that Kewill was the right direction to go in,” says Jeff Dahltorp, vice president of marketing for Sigma Micro. Brian Hodgson, vice president of marketing and business development for Kewill, notes that the two companies have a history of collaborating on integrated logistics solutions. “As we continue to invest in Clippership, we are thrilled to strengthen our partnerships with leading providers such as Sigma Micro,” he says.
