Your Electronic Warehouse promo lets iPod owners upgrade earphones

Your Electronic Warehouse has announced an iPod earphone trade-in promotion. The program enables Apple iPod owners to trade in their factory earphones for $20 toward a future purchase at YourElectronicWarehouse.com or at sister business DiscountGolfWorld.com.

The promotion is designed to let new iPod owners “maximize their iPod’s potential” by getting earphones from high-end manufacturers such as Bose, Shure or Monster, says Justin Meats, information technology director at Your Electronic Warehouse, No. 435 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

The program also targets iPod owners who have already upgraded their earphones, but still have the phones that came with the player. They can receive a $20 credit toward a future purchase at either of the company’s e-commerce sites.

“There are lots of people who buy aftermarket headphones for their iPod; this program allows customers to both save money and get a great pair of high-quality headphones at the same time,” says Dennis Boudreau, president of Your Electronic Warehouse.

Customers who participate in the program will be allowed only one trade-in per e-mail address. Trade-ins will be accepted only for the factory iPod earphones. The $20 in reward dollars will be e-mailed to the customer in two to four weeks and are good for six months.
