THE MINUTE MAID COMPANY AND IBM ANNOUNCE $70 MILLION SERVICES PACT
Minute Maid to Outsource Core IT Functions to IBM, including Web Hosting,
Application Development, Server Operations, and Help Desk
SOMERS, NY and Houston, TX --- May 3, 2001 -- IBM and The Minute Maid Company
today announced a $70 million IT services agreement whereby IBM Global Services
will run information technology operations for Minute Maid over the next
five-and-half years.
Specifically, IBM will host the Minute Maid Web site and will assume
responsibility for the company`s core IT functions, including application
development, server operations, help desk and maintenance for the company`s
1,400 desktop PCs, and networking operations.

knowing that our IT operations are being managed by a world-class services
provider like IBM."
The Minute Maid Company, headquartered in Houston, Texas, will relocate its
central server farm and Web hosting functions to IBM`s Service Delivery Center
in Boulder, Colorado. Approximately 60 Minute Maid employees will become IBM
employees as a result of this agreement.
