Seeking a global, unified message, FindWhat.com hires a marketing chief

Search engine company FindWhat.com Inc. has appointed Seb Bishop as chief marketing officer. Bishop has been a member of FindWhat.com`s board of directors since September 2004 and served as senior vice president from July 2004 until now.

Bishop will be responsible for global marketing and communication activity of all of FindWhat.com group`s four divisions, which were the result of acquisitions last year: FindWhat.com Network/Private Label, Espotting Network, Primary Traffic (Comet Systems) and Merchant Services (Miva Solutions).

FindWhat.com says it has relationships with more than 100,000 online businesses across three continents.

"Seb`s appointment signifies a fresh approach to the marketing and positioning of our company," said Craig Pisaris-Henderson, chairman and CEO. "The role of chief marketing officer is new for FindWhat.com. At the beginning of 2004 we offered one product in one country. Today we are a global company, offering multiple products and services across three continents. Seb is charged with the considerable task of leveraging these assets worldwide to increase brand prominence among customers, partners and stakeholders."

Bishop was co-founder of Espotting Media and grew the company from a two-person start-up in 2000 to a company doing business in multiple European countries with more than 200 employees. Prior to Espotting, Bishop was a senior art director at a number of advertising agencies.
