Dell dominates high broadband responsiveness

Dell.com once more provided the fastest high broadband access time among Top 50 retailers, says Gomez Inc.

At 2.65 seconds Dell in August was followed by Target.com (3.22 seconds), Zappos.com (3.40 seconds) and OfficeMax.com (3.92 seconds).

Using a dial-up connection, Dell.com also provided the fastest site response time at 29.20 seconds.

In August, a shopper with a high broadband connection could access a Top 50 retail site in 5.98 seconds, compared with 14.23 seconds for a low broadband connection and 50.10 seconds for dial-up.
