Dale and Thomas Popcorn relaunches web site

Dale and Thomas Popcorn, multi-channel retailer of gourmet popcorn products, relaunched its web site this week with improved shopping cart functionality and navigation.

The new DaleandThomas.com site—designed by Park Ridge, IL-based AmericanEagle.com, a web site design, development and hosting company—allows visitors to shop by price, flavor, category or gift items. It also offers gift suggestions for businesses and consumers.

“Gift givers are our most loyal customers,” says Paul Goodman, senior vice president of e-commerce and marketing. “We wanted to ensure that our site would be extremely convenient for locating the perfect popcorn gift, no matter who our customers are shopping for.”

The new site—built on the AmericanEagle.com idev e-commerce platform—allows customers to quickly view all the different popcorn flavor options on interior pages. When ready to make a purchase, customers can schedule delivery dates through an interactive calendar that immediately shows shipping charges for the selected date.

If customers aren’t ready to check out, they can choose to save, print or e-mail their shopping cart for easy future reference. AmericanEagle.com also created one-page checkout for the site.

“We expect the shopping experience for the holiday season to be much better than before, especially with some of the new and enhanced features that we have on the site,” Goodman says.
