Product review site TopTenReviews names Stan Bassett as president
Stan Bassett has been named president of TopTenReviews, a web site that provides customer reviews and comparison pricing data for software, hardware, web services and entertainment.
Bassett’s retail and marketing experience will help the company integrate online research and in-store shopping, the company says. New product categories and purchasing options are also planned through he first quarter of 2008. The company was founded in 2003.
“Stan’s addition to TopTenReviews starts a new era for our company,” says Jerry Ropelato, CEO. “With our expertise in delivering entertainment and technology reviews, combined with his knowledge and experience from the retail markets, we’ll be able to deliver on a unique system that will help consumers find the right products for them, saving hours of research and shopping.”
Bassett has been executive vice president at MarketStar, responsible for working with such clients as Sony, LG, Motorola, Office Depot and Whirlpool.
