StoreSense – Kurant’s Flagship E-Commerce Solution –
To Be Integrated Into vJungle’s OpenEX Platform
SAN FRANCISCO – May 29, 2001 – Kurant Corporation, the leading provider of e-business software and services, today announced a strategic partnership with vJungle, a leading ASP integrator, to deliver an integrated solution that incorporates StoreSense™, Kurant’s flagship e-business software platform, into vJungle’s OpenEX™ platform, an integrated web-based suite of business applications and services for the small business market. StoreSense will serve as the exclusive e-commerce component of OpenEX and will be available to vJungle customers as an enhanced service of the platform this summer.
The StoreSense-powered OpenEX solution will offer small businesses a full range of e-commerce functionality, beginning with entry-level catalog, shopping cart and real-time secure transaction processing and extending to high-end inventory management, sophisticated supply chain communication, and mobile commerce capabilities. OpenEX customers will be able to build customized online catalogs, run special promotions, offer affiliate programs and frequent buyer clubs, cross-sell and up-sell products, perform detailed tracking of business metrics, and more.
StoreSense is an award-winning e-business platform that enables corporations to deliver branded e-business services to the SMB market. The product’s ground-breaking architecture -- including an XML transaction engine and Java-based framework -- provides unprecedented scalability and seamless integration with other applications. With its template-based interface, StoreSense can be fully customized for delivery under a vendor’s existing brand name.
“StoreSense is an award-winning, best-of-breed leader in e-business software solutions. When looking for ways to extend the value of OpenEX for our platform customers, StoreSense was the natural choice,” said Deepak Amin, CEO and founder of vJungle. “Further, we were able to fully integrate StoreSense with our existing platform, ensuring a consistent, high-quality user experience.”
“With distinguished customers like Hewlett Packard, Office Depot and the Small Business Administration, it’s clear that vJungle truly understands the needs of both the SMB market and the vendors who deliver business services to this market,” said Curtis Pierce, CEO of Kurant. “OpenEX’s hosted integrated approach is a compelling formula for success in serving today’s growing small business market. The new StoreSense-powered OpenEX platform will open up even more opportunities for vJungle’s partners to generate revenue, strengthen competitive advantage and increase customer acquisition and retention.”
