Fandango’s new business development chief will look for new ticket outlets

Fandango, the online and phone movie ticketing service, has named Christopher Cunningham vice president of business development. Cunningham will be responsible for overseeing all of Fandango's business development and corporate development initiatives, with a focus on syndication programs, mobile strategies and multi-platform distribution.

Cunningham has 17 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, corporate development and product management in digital entertainment, technology, and new media. He was most recently vice president of strategy and product development for YaYa Media Inc., an interactive entertainment consultancy and agency. Prior to YaYa, he served as vice president of business development for Wink Communications Inc., provider of interactive television services.

"I look forward to helping expand Fandango's availability to all moviegoers across the country,” Cunningham said. “Moviegoers should be able to access Fandango ticketing through all media."

Fandango sells tickets to approximately 1,100 theaters and 12,500 screens, which it reports is nearly 70% of theaters in the U.S. enabled for remote ticketing, and to four of the five largest U.S. theater chains.
