Online consumer spending rose 28% for the week ended Feb. 27, to $1.56 billion from $1.22 billion in the comparable week a year ago, comScore Networks Inc. reports.

By comparison, total retail sales rose 9.2% for the week ended Feb. 26, according to ShopperTrak.

Online travel sales rose 21% for the week ended Feb. 27, to $1.21 billion from $996 million in the comparable week a year ago, comScore reports.
