MLB Advanced Media takes over 95% of Tickets.com

MLB Advanced Media LP, the Internet arm of Major League Baseball, has acquired ownership of 95% of the issued and outstanding shares of common stock of Tickets.com Inc.

MLB Advanced Media announced March 21 that it had completed its tender offer for 9.7 million outstanding shares of Tickets.com at $1.10 per share, bringing its total number of shares to 26.8 million.

MBL Advanced Media manages MLB.com, the official web site of Major League Baseball, and 30 professional baseball team sites, where consumers can purchase merchandise, videocasts, tickets and other items. Tickets.com sells tickets online for professional baseball and hockey teams, museums, universities and other organizations.
