Talisma Opens Offices in Australia and New Zealand

Leading Customer Interaction Management solutions provider extends operations to leverage regional growth

Bellevue, WA – August 22, 2005 – Talisma™, a leading global provider of Customer Interaction Management (CIM) solutions including flagship products Talisma NetAgent and KCS verified Talisma Knowledgebase, has launched Talisma Australia Pty Ltd, providing a springboard to grow its business in Australia and New Zealand and deliver on-the-ground support to its existing local customer base. This expansion will enable Talisma, already serving more than 600 customers in 32 countries, to increase its regional customer base and accelerate revenue growth.

Talisma Australia will provide localised sales, marketing, and service support to Australia and New Zealand customers from its Sydney and Brisbane offices. Talisma’s Australian and New Zealand clients include St. George Bank, Australian Department of Parliamentary Services, WestNet, and Yarra Valley Water.

“Talisma is committed to bringing to the Australian and New Zealand marketplaces our award-winning Customer Interaction Management solutions that enable companies to deliver a truly exceptional Web-centric customer experience,” Talisma Corporation President and CEO Dan Vetras said. “Establishing an on-the-ground presence with local staffing means we are even better positioned to grow our business through leveraging local knowledge and expertise in the delivery of our world-class products to Australian and New Zealand customers of all sizes."

Talisma has appointed Paul Bunn as managing director. Mr. Bunn brings a combination of international and local market skills to Talisma’s Australian and New Zealand operations, with over 18 years’ experience in the software market. Most recently Mr. Bunn was Vice President of Sales for the Western Region of the United States at iPhrase Technologies Inc. and Open Market Inc. “Australia’s robust economy and the rapidly growing market interest in Customer Interaction Management are key reasons for our decision to launch operations here,” Mr. Bunn said.

“We have already established a track record of success with a diverse group of customers in the region, including major corporations and household names under the banner of Talisma Corporation,” Mr. Bunn continued. “With an increased focus on the specific needs of our customers in this region, we expect to see our business grow significantly.”

Talisma customers St.George Bank and Yarra Valley Water welcomed the arrival of the company’s local operation. “St.George Bank Limited has invested in Talisma’s Knowledge Management solution as a key component of our online internal self-service initiative,” Mark Smith, Manager of IT & Business Support at St.George Bank said. “The knowledge management software is very easy to use and enables us to share common solutions with our retail branches in a cost effective manner. We are pleased with Talisma’s support and commitment to date, and look forward to working even more closely with Talisma Australia.”

Pat McCafferty, General Manager for Customer Operations at Yarra Valley Water said that introduction of Talisma’s knowledgebase portal drives Yarra Valley’s electronic contact efficiency by providing consistent automated customer responses. “We are in the process of establishing a dynamic customer knowledgebase that is being built up by actually learning from customer interactions, which is a tremendous opportunity to track customers’ needs and interests. We’re delighted Talisma is opening local offices,” Mr. McCafferty said.
