Direct Tire Chooses CORESense to Expand Business to the Web
SARATOGA SPRINGS, NEW YORK, August 25, 2005 – CORESense, Inc., a leading provider of retail management software, today announced that Direct Tire, a leading wholesale tire retailer in Memphis, Tennessee, has selected the CORESense On Demand Retail Management Solution to run the ecommerce division of their business.
Direct Tire was recently acquired by Mathis Tire, a large Memphis area automotive service and parts business that sells through 11 retail store locations and an ecommerce site. The acquisition brought them from serving the consumer market into the wholesale business. From being in business for over 12 years, Mathis Tire’s Bob Peden, General Manager, knew how convenient it was to work with the vendors that had an ecommerce presence. ‘We knew we had an opportunity to serve our wholesale customers with the same level of service they have come to expect from Direct Tire,” Bob said, “but with the increased convenience that comes from offering access to our inventory from their desktops.”
CORESense will help make this possible by bringing together the management of the sales channel, order fulfillment, inventory and suppliers, and customer service.
