Direct Marketing Services Inc. has launched the Montgomery Ward ‘Memories’ campaign and gift card giveaway. Consumers can visit Wards.com/Memories, share their favorite Montgomery Ward memory and enter a contest for a chance to win gift cards from the e-retailer. The giveaway ends December 1, 2006.

The contest is designed to promote Montgomery Ward’s new gift card program, offering plastic gift cards in several designs as well as a gift “card” that can be delivered by e-mail. Gift cards can be ordered online and redeemed at Wards.com.

The company has found that its customers are very loyal and have had experiences with Ward throughout the years; the Memories campaign is designed for those loyal customers, and to help maintain customer loyalty, says David Milgrom, president of Direct Marketing Services, No. 141 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites.

Regarding the new gift cards, they never expire and do not contain any hidden fees or deductions, unlike many other gift cards.

Montgomery Ward offers more than 45,000 products online including furniture, bedding, jewelry, electronics, kids’ furnishings, and kitchen and home décor products. A second Montgomery Ward e-commerce site, Montgomery Ward Kids, was launched in June.
