eBay leads in traffic to home and garden sites in September
EBay Home recorded the most traffic among the top 10 home and garden sites in September, with 11.4 million visits, down 4% from 11.9 million in September 2005, according to Nielsen/NetRatings Inc.
The Home Depot ranked second, with 8.8 million visits, up 1% from 8.7 million a year earlier; followed by Lowe’s, 6.2 million, down 7% from 6.7 million; HGTV – Home & Garden Television, 5.2 million, up 2% from 5.1 million; eBay Crafts, 3.8 million, down 5% from 4 million; Home Shopping Network, 3.5 million, up 3% from 3.4 million; ServiceMagic, 2.6 million, up 86% from 1.4 million; IKEA, 2.1 million, up 11% from 1.9 million; Pottery Barn, 2 million, up 18% from 1.7 million; and DIY Network, 1.8 million, down 10% from 2 million.
In the top 10 ranked by time per visit, LtdCommodities.com led with 27 minutes, 20 seconds; followed by Lakeside.com, 21 minutes, 5 seconds; Home Shopping Network, 20 minutes, 33 seconds; BrylaneHome, 17 minutes, 51 seconds; Collections Etc., 16 minutes, 20 seconds; GE Appliances, 13 minutes, 24 seconds; Whirlpool, 10 minutes, 50 seconds; Harborfreight.com, 10 minutes, 44 seconds; eBay Crafts, 10 minutes, 40 seconds; and eBay Home, 10 minutes, 24 seconds.
Also in September, The Dux Bed had the most online ad impressions of advertisers in the consumer goods home and garden industry, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance Report. The leading brands and their ad impressions (in millions) were:
