Peapod expands into Milwaukee, its 15th market

Internet grocer Peapod LLC is expanding into Milwaukee beginning delivery this Sunday, April 10.

The service will include regional specialties in the “Milwaukee`s Best” aisle including, Door County Chips, Usinger`s Meats, Saz`s pulled chicken & pork and BBQ ribs, Elegant Farmer pies and Sprechers Root Beer.

Peapod, founded in 1989, serves 14 markets besides Milwaukee, including Chicago, Boston, Long Island and Washington, D.C., and other communities in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Rhode Island. It has made 6 million deliveries since its first one in 1990. Peapod is owned by Royal Ahold of the Netherlands, which operates over 1,300 supermarkets around the world.
