Coremetrics founder gives up management role to focus on new ventures
Brett Hurt, founder and vice president of client services of web analytics company Coremetrics Inc. is relinquishing day-to-day management responsibilities, the company has announced. Hurt will remain a board member and advisor while he focuses on developing ideas for another start-up in the e-commerce industry, San Mateo, CA-based Coremetrics says.
Robin Williamson, who has been with Coremetrics since 2001 and is vice president of operations, will also take on Hurt`s responsibilities, combining all customer facing personnel and activities into one organization, the company says.
"Over six years ago I founded Coremetrics with a vision to turn it into the premiere provider of web analytic solutions and services," said Hurt. "It has been an amazing journey to experience Coremetrics from a start-up to a mature company, and I`m very proud of the quality product and team we`ve built. Given the strength of both, I feel that this is an ideal time to pursue my passion as an entrepreneur and continue to drive the evolution of e-commerce."
