Brett Hurt, founder and vice president of client services of web analytics company Coremetrics Inc. is relinquishing day-to-day management responsibilities, the company has announced. Hurt will remain a board member and advisor while he focuses on developing ideas for another start-up in the e-commerce industry, San Mateo, CA-based Coremetrics says.
Robin Williamson, who has been with Coremetrics since 2001 and is vice president of operations, will also take on Hurt's responsibilities, combining all customer facing personnel and activities into one organization, the company says.
"Over six years ago I founded Coremetrics with a vision to turn it into the premiere provider of web analytic solutions and services," said Hurt. "It has been an amazing journey to experience Coremetrics from a start-up to a mature company, and I'm very proud of the quality product and team we've built. Given the strength of both, I feel that this is an ideal time to pursue my passion as an entrepreneur and continue to drive the evolution of e-commerce."
