Start-up Symphoniq hires a vice president of worldwide sales

Richard Rudolph has been named vice president of worldwide sales at Palo Alto, CA-based Symphoniq Corp., a new company created by the founders of NetIQ Corp. to manage the web application infrastructure.

Symphoniq says Rudolph brings 20 years of experience in developing the market for web application management tools, most recently as vice president of worldwide sales for Keynote Systems Inc. Before that, Rudolph led sales operations at webHancer and at WebTrends, a division of NetIQ.

"The web application management space is changing significantly as sites grow in size and complexity, and as the web is increasingly used for mission-critical enterprise applications," said Rudolph. "Symphoniq changes the nature of managing the web application infrastructure to make IT more effective and efficient. I look forward to bringing this new approach to a broad market.”

Symphoniq’s product, Symphoniq TrueView Web Management, captures a web site user’s experience to identify the infrastructure components that are causing application performance degradation, inside or outside the data center.
