CrossCheck turns to Quest for hosting Internet-based authorizations
CrossCheck Inc., a provider of Internet-based check payment services, will use Qwest Communications International Inc.’s Chicago-based CyberCenter web-hosting infrastructure to improve speed and security of its check authorizations, CrossCheck says.
“As part of our overall business strategy, CrossCheck continues to make significant investments in security and infrastructure,” says J.J. Kieley, vice president of information services at CrossCheck. “The new system ensures 24-hour, uninterrupted check authorizations for the entire network of CrossCheck merchant businesses nationwide.”
CrossCheck’s products include ChecksByNet, which enables online shoppers to fill out a form on a retail web site to pay by personal check.
Qwest operates ten CyberCenters across the U.S.
CrossCheck, based in Rahnert Park, CA, also has signed an agreement with Equity Commerce L.P., Hagerstown, MD, under which Equity Commerce will include CrossCheck’s web-based check services among the payment processing, gift card and loyalty programs Equity provides to small merchants.
