Q3 revenue at Google rises 70% to $2.69 billion
Revenue at Google Inc. rose 70% to $2.69 billion for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, as net income rose 1.6% to $733 million, the company said. The portion of revenue shared with advertising partners was $825 million, up 5% from $785 million in the second quarter.
Q3 revenue from Google-owned sites amounted to $1.63 billion, or 60% of total revenue, representing an increase of 84% over revenue of $885 million a year ago.
Q3 network revenue from Google’s partner sites generated through the Google AdSense program was $1.04 billion, or 39% of total revenue, representing an increase of 54% from $675 million a year ago.
Revenue from outside the U.S. contributed 44% of total revenue in Q3, up from 39% in
Q3 of 2005.
