The Rimm-Kaufman Group has named as vice president of business development Lawrence Becker, who previously had served as vice president of e-commerce at Crutchfield Corp., where the founder of the consulting group, Alan Rimm-Kaufman, was vice president of marketing.
In his new position, Becker will have responsibility for developing new partnerships with businesses looking to leverage the consulting group’s search marketing services, in addition to leading the development of a new suite of services for online retailers. Becker describes the new services as consulting, analysis and technology to improve conversions among visitors that search marketing brings to a site.
Becker had been with Crutchfield since 1995, when he joined as an audio/video sales advisor on the contact center team. At Crutchfield, he held positions of increasingly responsibility as copywriter, new media editor, and director of Internet publishing, prior to his appointment as e-commerce vice president in 2003. In that role, Becker was responsible for all online marketing efforts at Crutchfield including search engines, site analytics and e-mail.
