Amazon.com gets another high profile brand: Macy’s
Amazon has scored another win with a major retailer brand name, announcing today that Macy’s will sell products on Amazon.com. Macy’s already operates its own successful web site, Macys.com. in February, Circuit City announced it was pulling its merchandise from Amazon.com to sell exclusively at CircuitCity.com.
Macy’s says its items for sale at Amazon will include its exclusive brands—INC International Concepts apparel and Hotel Collection bedding—as well as a wide selection of jewelry, apparel, beauty and home products.
Macy’s joined the Amazon platform to make its products easily available to the Amazon customers, said Kent Anderson, president of Macys.com. “We are creating another option for customers to find and shop our vast selection of top brands,” he said.
Macy’s fulfills orders for its products featured on the site.
