ShopNBC extends its auction business to eBay

Following the success of its auction business on ShopNBC.com, ValueVision Media Inc. is now also offering auction sales through the ShopNBC Outlet on eBay.

ShopNBC.com, No. 64 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, is offering hundreds of products on eBay.com that fall into the categories of samples, returned merchandise, discontinued products and other items that have appeared on the ShopNBC TV program. The merchandise ranges from watches and jewelry to cosmetics and home furnishings, ValueVision says.

"ShopNBC`s unique products and great values will now be available to a much wider audience," says William Lansing, CEO of ValueVision. "We have had success driving incremental sales and new customer growth with our auctions at ShopNBC.com and we look forward to expanding this success with our participation in the world`s largest auction site."

ShopNBC.com already accounts for about 20% of ValueVision’s revenue, the company says.
