Unified Western Grocers Selects Triversity’s FraudWatch™ as Loss Prevention Solution
Web-based Loss Prevention solution helps grocers fight growing fraud problem
TORONTO, ON – Feb. 24, 2003 – Triversity Inc., a leader in customer-centric software and services for the retail industry, today announced that Unified Western Grocers has selected FraudWatch™ as its Loss Prevention solution. Unified, the largest retailer-owned wholesale grocery distributor in the western United States, will offer FraudWatch to its member base of independent grocers in California and the Pacific Northwest.
FraudWatch is designed to fight the growing problem of inventory shrinkage in grocery retailing, where grocers typically lose 1.8 percent of sales to shrinkage – much of which occurs at the point of sale (POS). Through T-logs (Transaction logs), FraudWatch monitors all POS keystrokes and is the only Web-based Loss Prevention solution that requires no software installation prior to use, since it is delivered via an ASP (Application Service Provider) model. FraudWatch offers users up-to-the-minute information anytime, from any location via an Internet browser.
