Robert J. Dennis has been named president & COO of Genesco Inc. Dennis was named executive vice president and COO of Genesco in October 2005. He had served as CEO of Hat World Corp., since 2001. Following Genesco's acquisition of Hat World, No. 331 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, in April 2004, he was named senior vice president of Genesco in June 2004. Dennis also has been elected a director of Genesco.
Hal N. Pennington will continue as chairman and CEO.
