Novator to release module offering more control of page layout
Novator Systems will launch in June a Site Designer module in version 4.0 of its Virtual Retailer software that gives retailers more control over displaying merchandising windows, CEO Mark Fox tells InternetRetailer.com.
Novator provides a modular e-commerce platform that lets retailers choose from among content management, web analysis, customer service, merchandising, fulfillment and loyalty program features.
Its content management module lets users alter content in product catalogs, including pricing, images and descriptions, and designate what will appear in web site page windows. The new version will extend that capability to let users re-arrange where individual merchandising windows appear on a page, in addition to setting time periods for when each window will appear with particular product images and promotional content.
The new version also lets retailers work with preconfigured templates or to develop new templates that can be modified as needed, Fox says.
“This gives our customers complete management of the content to appear on their pages, but they can now change the page layout and the time periods content appears,” he says.
