Fathom Online names Gregg Stewart senior vice president, channel management
Fathom Online, a search engine marketing company, named veteran online advertising executive Gregg Stewart as senior vice president of channel management and marketing.
Stewart will spearhead efforts to combine advertising media opportunities and optimization services under one roof, Fathom Online said. He reports to CEO Chris Churchill.
Stewart is the former president of Wahlstrom Interactive, a provider of online marketing in the directory advertising market. Wahlstrom Interactive is a division of Wahlstrom Group, a unit of Interpublic Group.
Stewart, as founder of Wahlstrom’s interactive arm in 1995, guided the agency`s progression into the online directory and search engine marketing environments. During his tenure at Wahlstrom, he developed and executed award-winning interactive campaigns for brands including Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Hilton Hotels, Sears and General Electric.
"Gregg`s strategic vision to create a holistic solution for advertisers with search and Fathom`s conversion optimization services is paramount to our direction," Churchill said. "For SEM to be most effective, it is imperative to concentrate on optimizing web site landing pages to ensure converting the maximum amount of traffic into sales."
Stewart joined Wahlstrom Group in 1985 as an account executive, where he worked on advertising programs targeted to the Yellow Pages.
