Scott Heimes becomes CEO of content management company Virtucom

Scott Heimes has been promoted to chief executive officer of Virtucom Content Solutions Inc., a content outsourcing company that provides content design, production and management services for retailers using web and print channels. He joined Virtucom as president and chief operating officer in 2001.

Before joining Virtucom, Heimes was the chief content officer of Pacifiq Technologies Inc., a product catalog application service provider and publishing company he co-founded in April 1999. Management sold the company the following year to the International Communications Industries Association, a global audio visual industry association.

Virtucom Founder Michael Jacobs will continue as chairman. “Since joining the company last year, the partnerships and alliances Scott has forged have been instrumental in positioning Virtucom for long term growth and success,” Jacobs said.

Virtucom Content Solutions streamlines the process of acquiring and producing content, including custom product images, descriptions, features and technical specifications for use on web sites, in-store signage, advertising programs, training systems and related applications.

Virtucom’s clients include Best Buy Co. Inc., Target Corp., Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Carlson Cos., Eckerd Corp., J. Crew, Toys R Us Inc., KB Kids, and Jostens.
