Vcommerce Expands Team with Silicon Valley Veterans in Alliances and Marketing Communications

Karen Greenberg and Lori Bush Fill Roles Critical to the Company’s Re-Launch as a Multi-Channel Retail Solution Provider

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ., June 14, 2004 – Vcommerce Corporation today announced that three Silicon Valley executives recently joined the company as department leaders for alliances and marketing communications. Karen Greenberg signed on as senior director of alliances and Lori Bush as senior director of marketing communications. They both are already playing key roles in re-launching Vcommerce with a focus on providing solutions to capture, source and manage orders in multi-channel retail environments.

“Alliances and marketing communications are extremely critical to Vcommerce’s continued success, so we are very excited about bringing these strong managers from the Silicon Valley to the Silicon Desert,” said Vcommerce CEO Dan Clarke. “After investing more than $60 million and seven years to create the best Web-based, multi-channel retail solutions available, we are investing in the best people available to bring this solution to our customers and our market.”

According to President and CTO Dan Kennedy, “Over the years, I have assembled several strong management teams in the Phoenix area. With these new additions and the stellar managers already at Vcommerce, our current team is the best, by far.”

As senior director of alliances, Karen Greenberg leads Vcommerce`s initiatives for building mutually beneficial, strategic alliances with systems integrators and outsourcing firms. She brings more than 14 years of alliances and sales experience to the Vcommerce team. Most recently, she was director of alliances for WebEx, a leading Web conferencing and online meeting services company based in San Jose, Calif. At WebEx, she was responsible for North American channels, building relationships with major technology and telecommunications firms. Greenberg previously held positions of increasing responsibility with such industry leaders as SupportSoft, MicroAge, Computer Associates and Xerox. Greenberg holds a B.A. in liberal arts from Arizona State University.

Lori Bush leads Vcommerce’s marketing communications efforts, including public relations, analyst relations, Web, collateral, events and partner marketing. She also relocated to Vcommerce from the Silicon Valley, where she was senior director of corporate marketing for Saba Software, a leading provider of human capital development and management software. For the previous four years, Bush directed marketing communications at SeeCommerce, a supply chain performance management software company in Palo Alto, Calif. She also held marketing posts at software providers Prism Solutions and Firstlogic, Inc., and holds a B.A. in public relations and communications from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.

“To really nail the growth numbers we feel we can achieve, we need a strong alliances program to scale the organization, and an outward-focused communications program to reach the analyst and client communities,” said Marty Shepard, Jr., Vcommerce’s vice president of sales. “These new additions should deliver a powerful means of shortening our sales cycles.”
