Ex-GiftCertificates.com VP of marketing joins CafePress.com as CMO


Jill K. Ambrose has been named chief marketing officer at CaféPress.com, a pure-play gift store. She is responsible for development and implementation of all marketing, advertising and brand initiatives for CaféPress.com.

Ambrose previously was vice president of marketing at GiftCertificates.com.

“I had to review over 100 candidates to find the perfect marketer for someone who’s a great mentor and manager for the rapidly growing team here, someone who could embody the diversity and craziness of our community, and someone who has excellent merchant skills,” explains Fred Durham, CEO and co-founder of CaféPress.com. “Jill’s extensive combination of direct marketing and merchandising is perfect.”

CaféPress.com in 2005 recorded sales of $86.6 million, a 25% jump over 2004 sales of $69.3 million, according to Internet Retailer estimates. The e-retailer is No. 99 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
