VistaPrint web sales rise 73% in the first quarter
Total sales for VistaPrint Ltd., an online supplier of graphic design services and customized printed products, rose 73% in the first quarter of the 2007 fiscal year.
For Q1 VistaPrint is reporting net income of $6 million on revenue of $50 million compared with net income of $2.9 million on revenue of $28.9 million in Q1 2006.
"During the quarter VistaPrint acquired a record number of new customers while simultaneously driving a record percentage of bookings from existing customers,” says president and CEO Robert Keane.
The total number of customers served since the company`s Internet launch in May 2000 increased by 603,000 in the quarter and exceeds 7.8 million as of Sept. 30, says VistaPrint, No. 96 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
Repeat customers generated 64%of total quarterly bookings compared with 60% in the first quarter of the previous year, the company says.
