Autonomy, FAST, Endeca tops in Gartner site search study
The leading providers of site search technology share an ability to provide consumers with an effective means of determining relevancy in search results, while providing site operators flexibility in establishing relevancy settings, Gartner Inc. says in a recently released report, “Magic Quadrant for Information Access Technology.”
The top site search vendors in Gartner’s report are Autonomy Inc., Fast Search and Transfer and Endeca Technologies Inc., ranked in that order among the top quadrant of vendors.
Gartner cites Autonomy for being the most aggressive in addressing video and audio objects, FAST for its emphasis on mobile search and its ability to incorporate blog content, and Endeca for its strength in showing relevancy in search results, including the incorporation of user behavior.
