AdGooRoo hires former Performics CTO to expand product development

AdGooRoo, a provider of search engine marketing services, has named Gary Allen as chief technology officer to further develop the company’s technology strategy. Allen is a former CTO of SEM services firm Performics, which is now part of DoubleClick Inc.

"As we continue pushing the envelope for search engine advertising, Gary's involvement will focus our efforts on improving functionality, scalability and better addressing the needs of larger agencies," said AdGooRoo president and founder Richard Stokes.

At Performics, Allen managed the in-house development of customer-focused e-commerce applications. He also was responsible for the design and development of Performics’ Internet-based marketing platform and services.

Prior to Performics, Allen headed the wireless technology group for ABN AMRO Information Technology Services, where he developed and implemented a three-tiered e-commerce infrastructure.
