First-quarter revenues jump 30.8% at Retalix

Revenues at retail operations software provider Retalix Ltd. jumped 30.8% to $33.8 million during the first quarter from $25.8 million in the year-earlier period, the company reported today. Net income for the quarter totaled $2.4 million, up from $770,000 in 2004’s first quarter.

“We are very pleased to mark the start of this fiscal year by reporting another quarter of robust sales and profitability,” said Barry Shaked, president and CEO. “Our success during the first quarter can be attributed to Retalix’s technology leadership and the breadth of our global sales and support network, which resulted in new customer wins and increased acceptance of our software solutions around the world.”

Gross profit during the first quarter rose 33.6% to $22.8 million from $17 million a year earlier. Gross margin totaled 67.3% of sales, as compared to 65.9% in the first quarter of 2004.
