Discover Card launches a shopping portal for cardholders
Discover Financial Services LLC, issuer of the Discover credit card, has launched an online shopping portal, ShopDiscover, for its cardholders.
The portal—located at DiscoverCard.com/shop—rewards Discover cardholders with a 5% to 20% cash-back bonus year-round on purchases at top online retailers when they shop through the site. The program has 21 merchants in the program, including Target Corp., iTunes, FTD Inc. and Overstock.com Inc., Barnes & Noble.com, Blue Nile, Drugstore.com, JCPenney.com, Lands’ End, and Foot Locker.
Merchants pay an undisclosed fee to participate in the program, a Discover spokesperson says.
To use the portal, cardholders log into the Account Center at Discover.Card.com, link to a retailer’s site through ShopDiscover and make their purchase. There is no spending limit, and the additional cash-back amount will be applied automatically to their account in Discover’s Cashback Bonus program.
