Scholastic Inc. has launched an online store featuring books and education-themed toys for newborns to 12-year-olds with parents and families as its target market. Scholastic has traditionally sold to teachers and schools and distributed its products through the classroom to children and families. It opened a teachers-only web store in March. The new store is at ScholasticStore.com.
"By building on the company's 82-year relationship with parents, and our trusted partnership with teachers and schools, Scholastic's new online store offers a broad and growing combination of products intended to inspire children to become lifelong learners," said Donna Iucolano, president, Scholastic Internet Group. "The store will also leverage what we know about what is happening in schools across the country, providing a valuable connection for parents and caregivers, and an easy way for them to support their child's learning at home."
The Scholastic Store Online features books, toys, videos, music, games and software products from Scholastic and other manufacturers.
