Web sales rise 30.5% for The Knot in Q3


E-commerce revenue for The Knot Inc. rose 30.5% in the third quarter while total revenue grew by 41.5%.

Web sales totaled $4.2 million in Q3 vs. $3.2 million in Q3 2005. Total revenue for The Knot, No. 343 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, rose to $18.6 million from $13.1 million in the same quarter in the prior year. The current quarter includes revenue contributed from the WeddingChannel operation of approximately $1.5 million. The Knot acquired The Wedding Channel in June.

For January through September, The Knot reported web sales of $12.18 million, an increase of 30.9% from e-commerce sales of $9.3 million for the first nine months of 2005. "We are pleased with the progress we are making in the integration of the WeddingChannel operations. We initially focused on the consolidation of the warehouse and fulfillment functions for the wedding supplies business at our facility in Redding, CA,” says CEO David Liu. ”This was completed in September."
