Mercado Software, provider of e-commerce search and merchandising technology, has hired two new vice presidents as part of its expansion plans. Randi Barshack has been named vice president of worldwide marketing. David Leibow has been named vice president of worldwide professional services.
Barshack was most recently director of marketing, intercontinental, at Silicon Graphics where she oversaw all marketing activities for Latin America and Asia Pacific. Prior to SGI, she was a founder and vice president of marketing at TeaLeaf Technology, where she built the marketing department.
In addition to her marketing background, Randi has extensive experience in the media industry where she produced a variety of programs for television, film and multimedia. She has a joint International MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management and Tel Aviv University and a BA from Dartmouth College
Leibow will be responsible for worldwide customer support, implementation and consulting services, as well as implementation of partner training and certification. Most recently, Leibow was responsible for sales, marketing, support and professional services at MIR3 Inc. Before that, he was vice president of professional services, solution consulting and alliance support at Peregrine Systems.
Mercado’s site search and merchandising customers include Sears, Williams-Sonoma, J.C Penney, Macy's, Tower Records, MSN Shopping, Caterpillar and OfficeMax.
